Festivities

VARILOQUIO INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

  • Use of the sonorous Cholulteca urban space. It is possible to listen it mainly of two ways: on the highest ceilings the opposite sound on the space, the bell sound will be able to be listened traveling from one point to another of the city; and the score, made especially for the city of Cholula which is organized by means of exact chronometric indications.

CARNIVAL

  • Celebration of traditions, dances, disguises, colors and emotions, is a popular celebration of the local people and for the local people, celebrated before the holly days, is realized the weekend followed by the Ash Wednesday and every year there is a special interest of participants of all districts. This tradition mixes indigenous rites and Spanish influences. Their origins go back to the pre-Hispanic time, when the natives of Huejotzingo and Cholula realized rites of dances, songs and offerings to the feet of the Popocatepetl and the Iztaccihuatl volcanoes to plead for a good agricultural year.

INTERNATIONAL CULTURES ENCOUNTER

  • Exhibition and sale of cheese at the municipality main plaza, in honor to the Conception Virgin.
